Why does my computer kill my wireless network?

I have an Asus laptop with Windows 7 installed. My home network becomes very intermittent when this computer is online. No other computer has interacted with the network in this way, and this computer has not done this to any other network. I'm monitoring the question to provide additional information, as I do not know what information may be relevant.
